Department of Physics “Ettore Pancini” – Scientific Excellence and Innovation at the University of Naples Federico II
The Department of Physics “Errore Panzini” aims to develop scientific culture and training processes at all levels in the relevant scientific areas. The scientific, teaching, training, technological, and outreach activities, aimed at the development of research and teaching, have as their strength the sharing of skills, laboratories, computing resources, and infrastructures within a single Department.
The Department of Physics of the University of Naples Federico II has assumed the new name of Department of Physics “Ettore Pancini” in honor of the distinguished scientist who made fundamental contributions in the field of cosmic ray physics and was a professor at the Federico II University in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
